RuangWaktu
RuangWaktu started when young, wide-eyed university students just discovered that they could make anything for Youtube - a relatively new, untapped territory for creative content creation at that time. This was back in 2006 - a pre-TikTok era, when videomaking and editing skills were considered rare.Â
The motivation was simple, to make the most impressive video as they could, exploiting the fabric of time and space through videos (hence, the name RuangWaktu).
Asemblaj
When creativity is accessible to everyone, the novelty of the so-called 'creative content' is lost. Aesthetics are becoming a redundancy, as instancy is taking over. What is defined as 'creativity' no longer can be linked to our wisdom and skills, but to technology and tools.
Asemblaj was created to reshift this into creating complex and articulate 'content', finding and linking the pieces of lost information within this messy world of wisdoms. It is just natural for this type of creative tension to explore the ideas related to design, environment and heritage.
Universiti Malaysia Sarawak
The creative pursuit of arts can only go as far but the emphasis on education must always be upheld. Being an academic in UNIMAS does not stop this pursuit, but on a contrary has only strengthen it with more crystalized educational agenda. This sets the brand of UNIMAS into something that is beyond the ordinary.
10 Super Studio/ XSStudio
A creative collective consist of architectural graduates from UTM, 10SuperStudio (Stylized as XSS) aimed at incorporating stylistic video contents that discuss architecture and placemaking.
vdograf_
Of solo projects - personal videos, personal experiences, personal everything.
As in any solo ride, vdograf_ aimed at minimalizing laborious videomaking process into something that is still impactful. The name 'vdofraf' is a reflection of this, through removing some characters from the word 'video', contracted into 'vdo' - maintaining a character by removing characters.Â
The Anarchi
What started from a 'what if' question during a mamak session, a semi-fictional movement called 'The Anarchi' was born.Â
At an annual jamboree event called the Architectural Workshop, each university would send their best delegates and traditionally these delegates would masquarade in unique themes (just a weird architecture thing). Hence, UTM sent The Anarchi for 2016 Architectural Workshop 'TIANGSERI' in UiTM Seri Iskandar.Â
Spanning over one year, The Anarchi has released videos from time to time to reveal what the movement is about and who is behind it, in the most obscure and cryptic way possible.
